Hi

Garmin 60 will come with a crude world base map, you will have to buy a micro SD card City Navigator Europe NT map for it, buy from Garmin direct or a distributer or take a chance and buy a cheap one on Ebay, I did.

Cheers

Thanks for the pdf Alan, thanks for the tip Jim. Since a lot of us bought these event units, suggest we use this thread to exchange info, FAQs, sources of maps, etc...

From my memory I thought the 60C didnt have the SD card option ??

I thought it came in with the 60 CSx

But then again, it could be me needing the SD upgrade:hehe:

You are right Glen, the old 60C (discontinued) has a built in memory so dose not take microSD cards and will not take NT maps, I was thinking of the 60CSx and Rino 530Hcx that I have.

There appear to be no European maps for this unit.

I will try to load my GPSV city navigator maps on this weekend.

Normally if you register with Garmin you will get a 10% discount voucher.

Try registering the unit online at Garmin. You will need a fire wire connector and batteries in the unit.

I will let you know how I get on.

How have you found these units? Just bought one with some loaded software and attachments, very cheaply on ebay. I'm going to link it up to Memory Maps via a cheap laptop; probably a Toughbook?
