http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1737705.htmBT08 BUO Friends are looking at buying a D3, she's quite taken by the G4's. There's one for sale on the D3 forum and then this one's popped up. Anyone know it / used to own it ? It's £3k more than the one on the D3 forum but seems to come with a bootful of gear (not £3k's worth though). Cheers Mike

It is as it says... i.e. a car prepared for the 2008 event which got cancelled.
All of the equipment (On the car & in the boot) is all 'off-the-shelf' so if they wanted to buy the other one & fill the boot with goodies, it should be quite easy to do. ;)
(Apart from the plaque... Which should be nailed to the roofrack anyway!)

Yeah, I've told them all that. Just wondering if it used to belong to anyone on here.

Not a previous member according to the database but it does look to have a g4 owners club sticker in the right side of the windscreen.

Thanks MarkI'd noticed the sticker in the front window myself, hence asking here :D Looks a nice car, friends are certainly tempted.

Owned by member No. 111 I think.I think the database may have the reg the wrong way round. There are both BUO and BOU reg's. My records show BUO. Looks extremely glossy and well kitted but missing winch rope.

Thanks AdrianIs that not the orange winch rope shown piled up in the boot ? It's certainly very shiny that's for sure, someone's been at it with the Zymol. Has Dave got a new job ? :P

Chances are the orange rope has been binned by LR. When I purchased mine I was told that its standard practice for LR to remove the winch cable as they become liable if the sell a second hand rope and something happens whilst using it.

One of the brazil cars was sold by Hunters in Derby.
Two cars per team; big budget... Or contingency?

Hi Rich,Apologies for the delay. Been away on work with no internet. Yes, mine is KUE. I saw the photos posted on the forum. It was at Harwoods in Basingstoke. So I went to take a closer look and...well....you know how it is. One thing leads to another :) Sign here. Congratulations sir, you're the proud owner of a G4 D3. I was tempted to go for team S. A. (having been born in Cape town) but you already had your name on it. Regards, Anton.
