Mark and the fellow site operators/owners/members etc have kindly given us permission to post up the following......

The DISCO3 Club (Discovery 3 & 4 Owners' Club) has secured exclusive access to the MOD's Broxhead Common site near Bordon Hants. on Saturday 30th October 2010. This is a prime site which the MOD use for tank recovery training and as such it has very wide open spaces together with good wooded tracks, holes and water features. The site provides excellent opportunities for both the novice off roader, shiny vehicles and the more experienced alike. It is very sandy in places so also an opportunity to put your vehicle through this very testing terrain!

The DISCO3 Club is a family orientated organisation and the day at Broxhead is designed to be family friendly so there will be some youngsters about. Despite being a very large site, the Club is putting a limit on the number of vehicles participating in the event. Clearly the day is primarily for Disco3Club members with Discovery 3s and 4s but the limited number of remaining places is being offered to members of the Discovery Owners Club, SE 4x4 Response with either Discovery 1s, 2s, 3s or 4s and your good selves, members of the G4 Owners Club. The cost for the day is £35 inclusive for each vehicle with 1 driver and passengers.

The small print: Those attending must be prepared to adhere to the rules, regulations and speed limits of the landowners. All vehicles must be fully road legal, including Silenced Exhaust and will have valid 3rd Party Insurance, (as a minimum), Road Fund Licence and MOT Test Certificate. All drivers shall be in possessions of a full UK (or equivalent) Driving Licence which entitles them to drive the vehicle. Copies of Insurance, MOT or driving licence shall be presented to an officer of the Disco3Club if requested to do so. Failure to comply may result in an individual being requested to remove themselves and their vehicle from the event site. Failure to observe the site speed limits may also lead to expulsion from the event. All vehicles shall be driven to and from the event - trailered vehicles shall be excluded. This event is a non testosterone zone!

If you are interested in joining us you will need to be quick as there are only a few remaining places. Please contact our Events Organiser Neil Dudman by email on neil@gnvp.co.uk or myself, Gary Higgins (Bigcarpchaser) via this forum. Alternatively, you can ring the Club Secretary (Phil Hunt) on 07976 849610.

I think we have a few "cross club" members who may or may not be aware that this event is taking place but it should be a good day.
