Hi,
I have just registered on the forum and am a member of the Disco3Club and Disco3.co.uk, FRRR.co.uk & Defender2 Forums.
I am nearly at the end of my project to build a "G4 Black Overland" vehicle and have been regularly posting at: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic60870.html?highlight= & http://www.disco3club.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2794&start=150

I need to know if this qualifies me to join the G4 club and participate in the forums and activities?
Gaz
PS: My company Gary Elliott Prestige Cars sells used Land Rovers and is a sponsor of the Disco3, FullfatRR and Defender2 Forums.

As I assume replicas are treated as just a D3 I am thinking of adding 240 XGT Light Force Lamps on the front with the help of a specially made but road legal A Bar.
On the winch front what would you recommend as its not going to get a great deal of use.....?

The G4 Black "Stealth" Overland Project is now nearing completion (by me anyway) and is now sporting the powder-coated bar & brackets as well as the black Lightforce XGT 240 covers. The 140 Black covers to match should be here tomorrow. I may be selling before my summer break.

Hi all, I have just bought a D3 and saw your "Black G4" and was after some advice where I could purchase G4 style accessories. I cant find anything here. (Perth, Australia) I'm from the UK and find it frustrating getting parts here. Cant even buy a snorkel off the shelf. its a V8 HSE "05" in a dark Grey. but its in needs man-ing up. I also intend fitting a rear tyre swing arm to make room for a long range tank.any advice is much appreciated cheers

Look on www.aulro.com and you'll get some ideas on where to get parts, there's a chap over in WA who sells a few odds & ends called Green Oval. As for anything else, order it from the UK would be my advice, it's what I do most of the time. Cheaper and quicker to arrive than ordering from here in Oz. I ordered a cubby box cooler a few weeks back from Yeovil Land Rover, paid for it on Thursday evening my time, it was on my doorstep Monday morning here in Melbourne, all for £195.
Snorkel's are universal on the D3, engine type doesn't matter but remember that the LR one is only a raised air intake unless you seal up the perforated tube coming into the airbox to make it waterproof. As for bars, you'll see on aulro what people go for but rear wheel carriers seem to be Kaymar, although others are available of course. Front bars you have a great choice of different suppliers, which sadly I don't as I have the RRS, no one makes a bar for that which is a shame, even moreso for me after I gave the front bumper a good crack in Toolangi Forest at the weekend (and not just the bumper got a good whack from the trees either) :(
