Hi,
I'm the happy (as in grinning from ear to ear :D) owner of a 2008 G4 Challenge Disco 3, as of two weeks ago. Currently having a great time exploring some of the many green lanes in Essex at the weekend.
My vehicle is a 'naked' G4 (is that the right expression), and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can get hold of the official G4 Challenge decals.
Equally, someone has removed the G4 plaque from the rack at some point, would be keen to get hold of a replacement.
I did browse the forum and could see some articles on fasteners for the plaque but not the plaque itself. |

we are at present seeking/having made for the 2012 show season all 08 stickers made
as regards plaques the club does currently have these for sale

Hi Copboat, yes, I'm in Dunmow. Have been exploring some of the Green Lanes in North Essex and South Cambs - some interesting ones around Newport for example. Next time I'm out, would be good to meet up. I have also been thinking about joining the Beds,Herts and Cambs Land Rover Club, having bumped into a group of them on a green lane near me a few weeks back. They seem like a friendly bunch.

Can definately recommend joing the Beds, Herts & Cambs Landrover Club. Have been with them since late 2008 as i remember or though could of been start of 2009, anyway i have been out on a few laning trips with them around Thetford, Ely, Northampton. They are a great bunch of people. They do trips away around wales and the peaks laning and camping.

Hi, is there any update on progress with stickers for the D3s built for the 2009 event? Mine was "naked when I got it - purchased "2006 style" stickers off Ebay, but door stickers are smaller than they should be - keen to get proper door stickers and the black chevrons, plus whatever else is needed to restore it to "genuine". Its got the plaques and correct bonnet sticker so I think just needs sides, and black "Goodyear" for rear tailgate. Any update appreciated, Regards, Alan

Have a "naked" LR3 -08.-
Land Rover Sweden took them away when selling the car.

I have finally got my hands on the G4 I bought two weeks ago after some remedial repairs....
I am going to be looking to replace some of the damaged stickers, does anyone have a definative list of what should be in the full set..?

I'd be interested in a full set of standard 2008 D3 G4 stickers for mine. The one on the bonnet is faded and some of the others are damaged.
Would be looking at 2 sets as I can have a spare if required at a later date.

Hi Ian, full info, prices etc for 2009 D3 decals are in Club Shop and Merchandising section (members only though) and AdesG4 is the person to contact. Got a full set and did mine a few weeks ago - now looking great as a 2009 should have done, Alan

Has anyone got some clear pictures of an '08 D3 showing the original position of the decals. I have got some that need to go on this week and need to make sure that they're in the correct locations. It will be on the 4 x 4 Solutions stand at the London to Brighton on October 7th if anyone on here is going? I'll be sure to have the kettle on!

Hi Steve,
See attached. I was going to adde them in the decals but had no ink in printer.
The white section lines up with the front edge of the rear passenger door and the top of the black stripe is level with the rear wheelarch.
Rear vertical edge of the G4 on the door is on the centreline of the door handle pressed relief in the door panel.

She has faded decals traces on her bonnet and side doors with missing upper and rear plaques. We will need to get the official G4 Challenge decals with those plaques.
Is there anyone can share with us where we can get them to ship them to Cape Town?

Hello Alex,
My name is Paul Martin and I can help you with the decals for your vehicle. If you can email decals@g4ownersclub.com with what you need, I will be able to get you a quote from our decals supplier. I forewarn you, they will not be cheap, but they will make your Discovery look amazing once they have been applied.
Unfortunately, the roofrack plaques will be a little more difficult due to the process of manufacture. You may have already seen that the club is building a list of what plaques members need so that we can get the best possible price for them as they are so expensive to make. If you have not done so already, you will need to get your name on that list..
I have attached a little document that shows you what decals are applied to a 2008 Discovery 3. If you can still see where the original decals were placed, it would be really helpful if you can take some approximate sizes of what was originally fitted. This is just so I can compare to the sizes we have listed, to maximize the possibility that your new decals will cover up any previous fitting that may show due to sun bleaching.
