My RRS ex Mongolian Recce is for sale.

Land Rover Warranty
etc etc etc etc you know the rest.
She will be at Harwoods Pulborough from Thursday next week as she will make their forecourt look good. Harwoods are not selling the vehicle and the sale will be through me not Harwoods.
£35,000 will secure this one off vehicle. Six RRS's were made for the '08 Challenge but as far as I'm aware this is the only one that made it out of Land Rover alive.

See your post I have one sport that made it out of Land Rover I know 2 were resprayed White by a dealer but as to the other 2 I have know idea would be interesting to find out

They are both in leeds but have no kit on them, one has a full set of stickers and a private registration and the other is kept at a bungalow near Leeds Bradford Airport and has some flower stickers on it, and it was farnell Land rover Leeds that bought the four and painted two in white.

just changing subject slightly on Ebay there is a 08 Disco 3 ex medic but is kitted as 55plate warn lights different stickers etc is it accurate.

One of the tdv6 rrs g4's was at Gaydon show a few years back with full kit being driven by a LRE chap, The 08 D3 on ebay are library pics, the first one is from a dealer in germany that sold some 06 cars and it is lhd the second one is one of the 06 event recce d3's taken at Eastnor lr show last time there was a show there, when it rained all weekend and the last one is a lr library pr picture.

There is also a member on the forum with a fully kitted tdv8 rrs in ireland, where i believe there is two of them.

There were approx 8 TDV8 & 2 TDV6 RRSports and AFAIK they all made it out of LR alive!! ;)
1x TDV8 was used in selections 1x TDV8 sent to Mongolia 1x TDV6 nailed to a frame on selections 1x TDV6 used for photos/marketing etc (might be same as above) 6x TDV8 painted up but kit never fitted (or may have been 5x) Out of these last few, at least 2x were repainted in Autobiography White. M

I stand corrected but I am only going on the clubs info that there were 6 x TDV8's and it would appear that my use of the word 'alive' may have been inopportune in that I meant the car was one of the ones that were actually went somewhere to do with the challenge and not de-stickered or painted etc. Interestingly from the posts below it would appear that there are more RRS out there than were actually produced. I wonder how that happened ;-)

I have checked my notes and I know of 7x TDV8s and at least 1x TDV6... Possibly 2x TDV6s. I can also give you reg numbers for them all bar that last TDV6... Which I just have a pic of! ;) |
