Hi all just picked up our new addition to the family, its a 2005 discovery reg BV55YZW soon to be R111CBR, we live in the North East in Gateshead and my daughter has named it Tigger as "its bright orange just like him" as she put it:P

The North East needs more Orangeness, There are only 4 that I know of, you, me, George (of course) and one other. We get over Gateshead way quite a bit so will keep an eye out.

will you be keeping proper plate on retention so has not to lose the history of truck ,when /if you sell it on
also be useful when you come to shows to show its proper plate so folks dont think its a fake /replica g4 truck

Hi Dave the change of plate was just to put on our personal plates, will I need to put the old plate on retension in case I sell which by the way I hope I dont, and yes will keep old plates for any shows if I'm invited

Greetings fellow new person! I don't think you need to put the old plates on retention. When you take the personal ones off, the truck will revert to the original registration anyway. I thought about putting my personal plates on, but the G4 number plate is an essential part of the truck's provenance, so I'm leaving it as it.

actually I tend to agree about the plates now, it does look different with private plates on and doesn't look right so maybe I may revert back to originals at some point
