Whilst trolling the galleries on the Disco3 owners club I cam across this section of pics entitled "G4 Challenge" Was quite surprised to numerous pics of a D3 in G4 livery on a "52" plate namely BP52GJE......

This seems strange to me as the 2003 challenge was populated by D2's wasnt it and the D3 didnt come into service till 2004 and was 1st used on the 2006 challenge, or am I going potty..??

This has been discussed before; I believe this was used on a 2003 vehicle, possibly a Defender then put on the D3 when LR recced the 2006 event (possibly to keep it undercover?)

I started writing this before Stu posted whilst I was checking pics.
Not going mad.
These photos are from the 2005 Recce for the 2006 G4 Challenge in Bolivia.
The plates were off a D110 that was also on the recce with the D3 and 3 other D110's. The plates were most likely put on the D3 by accident.I cannot find any images of the D110 with the 54 plate though.
The D3 should be BL54OYG.
There are no photos of GJE from the recce, I believe it was lead vehicle and as such stopped ahead to get the photos.
