Trying to argue the point with the swmbo and need your help!!
Question from her :- why is it a good idea to spend £20+k on a 2002/3 g4 when you can get a 12-18 mth old xs for the same money?
Help needed to argue this one! What will a g4 be worth in 5-10 years time compared too an xs? Etc

because of all the kit on it
never lose it in a car park

Not sure about the other models but my 110 is a 52 plate XS spec and its still holding its value, its worth around the same as the James French one if not slightly more as i've restored it back to spec (working from the spec sheet on the club site).

You have almost answered your own question.
2002 G4 110 CSW circa 20K
2012 XS 110 circa 20K
Bringing a more modern vehicle up to the same spec will cost around
Winch £1400
Bumper £250
Tyres £650
Steering Guard £250
Tank Guard £250
Roofrack £1200
Roofrack floor £800
Lights £1600
Snorkel £200
Load bins £150
Load guard £200
Plasma rope £250
Chequer plate kit £250
£7450 plus fitting.
So your 20k 2012 110 is now 28k. Makes the G4 with all the kit on, all be it older but may have less miles, with confirmed G4 Challenge history, much less likely to depreciate as much as the 2012 one. There are very few G4 Challenge vehicles anyway so they are very rare rare in comparison.

Went out in the morning with a Black TD5 D2. And came home in an Orange V8. :D:D:D
