Hello all,
I'm a lifelong diehard LR enthusiast, I currently have a normal TD5 D2 on the road and a pre-production/launch event Series 3 County in hibernation.
I am looking to upgrade from the D2 to a G4 D3, RRS or FFRR from the 2008 run of vehicles (or maybe a really nice low-mileage one from the 05/06 run). I gather all the 08 vehicles are diseasel, but I wouldn't mind an 05 V8 on gas. 
I am gutted that I narrowly missed out on BD08 KSV (NE08 KUN) when it was on ebay a few weeks ago, due to faffing about with BD08 VTM (that turned out to have issues on its HPI check)
I'm intrigued by the "Prepped to G4 spec by LR" silver D3 on ebay at the minute... but part of me still wants to hold out for an orange truck! 
I'm looking forward to eventually finding "the one" for me, and becoming a part of the G4 club :)

Welcome to the club,
At least your in the right place, as many members spot cars for sale at local dealers and around the net and list them on the forum.
Think you will struggle to find a rrs or ffrr as there were so few made. Getting a d3 should be fairly easy from the cancelled 09 event with the diesel engine as there were so many of these made.
On the home page theres a page about the vehicles giving spec lists to look out for and numbers of each model produced for each event.

If you decide on a D3G4, then there are a few about. Prices can vary from around 18k up to 23k.

MATT this is a G4 spec in everything but colour , ITS NOT A G4
but would of been built for landrover experence instructors by landrover to use off - road
at landrover off road centers like eastnor to give public rides and teach clients  how to use landrovers off- road

Hi, and thanks for the welcomes!

Dave - the LR experience aspect of the silver D3 sounds interesting.... just a shame that it has a cream interior and all my hobbies involve mud and/or soot! 
One thing I have noticed is that a lot of the D3s I've looked at say things like "engine replaced under warranty". This seems an alarmingly common and alarmingly large fault? 
However, my roving eye has settled on BG08 EHZ on autotrader, which going by the G4OC stickers seems to already be well known in the club and has had pretty much my entire shopping list of jobs already done. Just need to get my lemon of a D2 repaired (exploding ACE pipes) and sold first!

^^^+1 what Jon said. The event was not really covered in the media though.

Note it is not silver but a greenish, goldish, odd colour.

Nice one, but for this price you may get a well equiped genuine G4 D3 though.
