G4 Owners Club

Looking for a D3 G4

After a few years spotting the occasional G4, my wife has finally bought into the idea of owning one ourselves.
I had a D4 a couple of years back, but it was just a bit too refined and to be honest, cost a fortune in depreciation.

I've seen a D3 G4 in Autotrader http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/land-rover/discovery-3/used-land-rover-discovery-3-2-7-td-v6-hse-5dr-armagh-fpa-201602040704639?utm_source=Email_a_Friend&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=Email_a_friend_carage_biyw < and wondered if anyone on the forum knows anything about it.  I think it's in Northern Ireland and that's not a problem.  However, the mileage is a bit higher than I'm hoping for.

The only other one is at Nene Overland which looks lovely but just too pricey.....

Alternatively of course there might be a member with a much loved example who is considering offering it a new home....?

No great rush, it has taken me a while to get to this stage !!

Thanks.

I would also be interested in hearing from any members that want to sell a Discovery 3 G4 as in the market for a new car.

Does anyone else have any more info on BG08 VFO the G4 Discovery 3 on Autotrader as also interested but with 140K miles believe £14 - £15K is more realistic.
Any thoughts or comments greatly appreciated.
If anyone has a 2008 G4 vehicle for sale can you please let me know - Gary was mentioned as may have a G4 for sale

Thanks

G4 D3's & other G4 vehicles do not tend to fall into the "normal" depreciation rules of Landrovers because they are specialist, highly equipped and limited edition vehicles.

Most D3's tend to be well maintained and hover between £21-25k dependent on mileage & how "complete" they are with decals, equipment etc.

If you can get the VIN number & registration to Adrian Hartley (Adesg4) he can give you the low down on if it was used as a selection/promo vehicle etc for the payment of £7.50 via PayPal

Well worth it if you can pick this up for the amount it's being advertised.

It will need some investment in decals to get it back to proper challenge spec.

Things to check are full service history, if the "big belt" service was carried out close to 7 years old or 105,000 miles, if the oil pump has been changed for the updated one, the condition of the upper & lower suspension arm bushes for this mileage as thy can be expensive to replace.......

G4's are distinctive, & we there are only so many around the world.

The registration is inline with others block registered by LR & now in the club, the chairman has BG08VFK, mine is BG08VFW, & I think we have BG08VFX in the club too.......

Good luck in your purchase

Me too :(

Seems like the only 2 D3s at dealers have both gone in the last week or so. Anyone here the lucky buyers?

Cheers

To my knowledge, there is only 4 of us in South Wales with G4s so lots of room for more guys to buy and locate here ??
Think of all the flashing and waving you will get.
Best of luck,

Tony
