Trying really hard to become a G4 owner, so far luck hasn't been on my side....
Any thoughts on whether this is a real G4 and if so what was its use? What would be a fair price in Canada? has about 170K Km. Looks WELL USED.
Is this the 300TDi?

Yes thats a 300 tdi and no its not a genuine g4 vehicle, the earliest g4 cars were 2002 and thats a 1996.

As Mark says this is a 1996 300tdi. A fake G4.
May be best to steer clear on this one. Given the mods it is possibly illegally imported too.

Value wise it would be whatever a standard 1996 D110 is worth. Ignore anything to do with G4 on it.
You could look at importing one from another LHD area. The oldest 2002 G4 cars were built May to July 2002 so would be eligible for import in 2017.

Decoding the VIN gives

S - Europe
A - UK
L – British Leyland / LandRover
LD – 90, 110 and all Defender
H – 110 + 147” wheelbase
M – 5 + 7 Door Station Wagon
F – 200 + 300 Tdi
7 – RHD 5 Speed
T – 1995-1996 (1996 MY)
A - Solihull
993198 – Serial Number

The 'P' prefix on the registration plate suggests registration between August 1996 July 1997.

300tdi came out for 1994 MY and finished in 1999 when TD5 was fitted. It was still available for ROW vehicles until 2006.
