Noticed this on another forum - http://www.satnavdvd.co.uk/2015-landrover--range-rover-navigation-sat-nav-map-update-disc-196-p.asp
Ordered one and installed a week ago - has all new roads and slightly improved interface. Recommended, and well worth the £34.99 (and I have no connection to the sellers)

I upgraded my Sport sat nag with the same cracking upgrade for very little money

Would anyone know if it be possible to copy the disc once purchased to go in two cars.

yes it is possible but you might have an issue of copyright ,but for the price of the original its not worth it

Would be worth it as it would cost £35 instead of £140.

As posted above - Copyright. Any decent home PC with a DVD writer will copy disks Imgburn or imdisk both do raw copy.
Then sell the Orignal. Me - I just remove the screen and stick in a 7" Garmin - 4 free updates every year. Then swap back when I sell the car.

Hi Keith,
Is the 7" garmin a straight swap to fit, as this seems to be a great solution. You get a much better mapping and routing system than the LR version will ever be.

Remove "H" trim, undo 4 screws, Remove LR screen.
Remove 2 optical cables and tape together end to end.
Fix Garmin to back of "H" trim with 2 long tyraps.
Power from back of 12v socket. Push cable under dash.
Small usb cable to glovebox for updates. Simples :D

How much of a difference does the upgrade disc make?

Is is just maps updated or the whole interface?

I got a 2015 map disc from Bodsy (D3 Forum) when we met up in Spain last year but have not got around to putting it in yet.....

Graphics on the maps are slightly better and more detailed. Also, I think it shows more road names on towns, eg when I'm at home I'm sure that previously it only displayed the names of about 5 roads in the area, whereas it now displays names for around a dozen roads in the same view. It also seems better at forewarning of roadworks and delays, though without putting the old one back in its impossible to do an accurate comparison. In summary, I think it's well worth the £34.99, Alan
