Hi
I am looking into getting the clamps that held the spare wheels to the 2006 Breed roof racks. These racks where fitted with 4 captive nuts with 4 holes through the deck board so a plate could be bolted to the rack which then had a fitting to bolt the spare wheel to.
I am thinking of modify the design so the fitting in long enough to go through the centre cap which will make it easier to fit. I am also proposing the have a hole drilled through the fitting so a padlock can be used to secure the wheel in place.
I have checked on a 2006 Defender and FFRR and they both have these on the rack and are the same. I am not aware if these were the same of any other vehicles.
So......
1) Is anyone else interested in having one made?
2) Can you one confirm if these were fitted to other vehicles?

Me please - I have the 4 holes in the roof board but nothing else. Please ignore the 6m amateur radio antenna - temporary fit.

Hi
I have been to see the engineering company and have a rough cost of £80-120 pounds to make them from stainless. The more we order the lower the price. The base will be jet cut and the upright machined and milled so should be a better finish than the originals! They could be made from mild steel but this would not lower the cost much.
We are up to 4 compete sets and a half set.
We can order any part so if you want just a base plate or a new improved upright ( longer to go through the centre cap and supplied with a disc to bolt down on to) please let me know.
For reference the hole centres are approx. 60mm x 95mm if you want to confirm they are correct
The disc will be 75mm in diameter please check this will work for you wheel.
I will confirm the height of the upright shortly. I will ensure it will be correct for the Defender and Range and will work for smaller tyres.
I will not be placing an order for a few weeks so we can give time for people to see this

Hi
I now have a confirmed price of £100 plus vat for a remanufactured spare wheel clamp for the 2006 Breed roof racks. This could fall to £90 if we get more orders.
They will be made from stainless steel .
I have 4 confirmed orders any one else interested?
I will look to place the order so they will be available for Billing. Any sets ordered after mid July will be £125 plus vat.
