From memory ! :w00t:  i thought it was only the 7 seater D2 that had headlamp level !! could be wrong mind

As you have an ES spec, then you should have Self Levelling Suspension, so that sorts out your light adjustment.

This is one of the odd things with the G4 DII's, some of them did have headlight adjustment fitted. AFAIK it was only the South African spec cars that had it, mine does and it is a SA car, the Australian spec ones didn't have it fitted. As Craig says with SLS it's not really necessary to have, I have never adjusted mine and in fact the handbook says to leave it as position 0!!!

mark is correct, aus spec cars such as Garfield did not have them fitted, with SLS there is no real need for this, also bear in mind that certain D2's were taken off the production line as per a customers order :w00t:just to fulfil the G4 contingent.

Other thing to note is that the G4 DII's were all originally 7 seaters, they just had the rearmost ones removed to make room for the jerry can holders.

Hi ,well as my car was a aussie spec,it had no adjustment, but having fitted a switch the head lights still do not seem to move?.but while on high beam with the top 4 on dipped beam we do not seem blind oncoming drivers,is any one else like this?on another note mark said that all d2 where 5or7 seaters my  one came in commerical spec ie no rear seats and a bulk head .

tony

i am under the impression that only a couple of commercials were released, one is alledgedly scrapped and the other is only now for sale with a re fit of new transfer box, gearbox and other assorted bits to bring it up to sale spec

I think we have to be careful with the information the records show.

According to the records available for my 110, BV55 ZBX, it never left the UK, but all the evidence of the vehicle (type of mud & dust etc) suggest this might not be the case.

When the rear of the vehicle was dismantled to fit new side-window guards the "red" dust/mud was very distinctive and others with more knowledge than myself said it was "not from the UK".

As it is also unlikely that someone also changed the gearbox chassis mounting (this also had solid mud inside it) I believe ZBX might have been up to something that was either not, or incorrectly, recorded.

If anyone has any idea of what ZBX has been up to in it's short life, please can they let me know - even if it is an anonomous communication!!

Thanks

Hi, well this is interesting ,I can only go by what is on the drive. This  car came to me from a LR auction, with all the kit on and in working order including the control for  the winch, and LR where the first and only owners by log book. as with the mole, red dust is in some strange places so its certanley been to Australia . I wondered what this car did after returning from Aus I know some were used at experance centres before being sold off maybe it was changed then?.Any more information  would be greatfully recieved.
