Just thought I would do a quick post to let every one know all is well in Texas. Had the G4(le) out friday, sat, and sunday. there is a write up over on greenrovers and some pictures. None of the G4 in action... hard to take pictures of your self.

I have not seen a copy but, understand Land Rover World did an article on the Colorado clubs national rally and used a picture of my G4. Any one seen it? hope to get a copy soon.

A reminder to any one who will be in Texas during April the Texas Rovers club is having their big event SCARR

Do wish there was more advantage to joining the G4 club than just this one forum.....

Any way happy Rovering .....Jim

Hi Jim

Out of interest - what more would you like to see from the Club - we're about to get the elections underway so the next few months should see quite a few changes, and the more suggestions the better!

Just miss surfing the rest of the BB. Can not see the cost of joining the club just for that. But,

I understand what you are up against. I take care of the Texas Rovers web site, and very active behind the scene with the club.

Paid members are one thing, registered users on a web site are another.....

Some sort of associate member ship for those out of range of most club activities would be nice.

By the way I still keep a link to G4 on the green rovers site.

Hi Jim,

I've just taken a quick look at your website, it's very user friendly, I'll pop back later to read some more.

I saw the link to here too... ;)

I agree for us across the pond who definately don't get the benifit of membership like UK guys do why can't there be an associate membership. After all there were G4 competitors here - and there will be more now we're back in again in 09. And there are G4 LE's (200?) over here and about 10 real cars.

Hi Pete,

When we arrange our first committee meeting, I will certainly raise this point. ;)

:)Thaks for keeping us "LE" folks in mind on this side of the world.

Thanks for raising it. I did try to make that point before this forum got shut down to the rest of us. I know there has to be some benifit to membership, and it is a difficult path to tread, but you have a huge potential for global membership by doing this. Remember you have the benefit of being a relevant club whilst the event is still running, unlike the Camel Club who played catch up. Personally I think the way they have conducted themselves has eased things for you guys.
