Anyone who wants my G4 Discovery - BT08BTE and is prepared to beat LR's trade in price of 9K before Wednesday gets the car.

I don't want to sell it, but it's developed a problem which keeps tripping the computer system and you have to  stop the car and start it up again.

Clearing the error codes with a computer reset solves the 'problems' for a while - 300-400 miles, but then  it starts all over again.

It's been looked at by a couple of four  x four specialists and they put it down to a faulty EGRV, which apparently can be blanked and the computer recoded so that it does not trip the system.

Land Rover has offered me  £9K in part exchange, for something that is really a collector's  item that will probably be stripped of its G4 livery and adornments at auction. So anyone who offers me more than that gets the car.

Ian, if it is the EGR valves causing a problem, a good indy should be able to blank them and update software - don't know where you're based but I had mine done by MMP Land Rover in Dundee (Disco Mikey on DIsco3 forum). Hopefully that would then enable you to sell it for much more than the pitiful £9k being offered.

Questions, Where are you in the country and what else can you tell me about it? Toys? Symptoms?

Hi Kevin 

I know that it did sell last week... I know of a few other vehicles for sale, is it a D3 they are after and whats the budget?

There is a 2003 D2, 2008 2x D3, 2006 RRS and a few defender editions 90 + 110.
