2006 G4 Challenge Event Details

Dear all

I now have the complete list of all vehicles used in the 2006 Challenge and what they were used for, etc, so if this information is required, let me know and I'll pull it out.

I'm trying to get 2003 information and will continue to see if I can find it.

I'm also happy to post this information in the relevant sections for members although as I'm doing this to help out and because of my role as 2003 Event Manager, it's simply because it is nice to help.  I regret I'm not willing to pay to become a member as I have no need to, but if the nice owners of this club would like to upgrade me, then I am happy to provide whatever tit bits and info members would like - from my knowledge of the 2003 Challenge to the vehicle details of 2006 event.

Given the number of PM's I've received, there seem to be plenty of you who want this information but I wonder if it should be posted in the relevant places?

Thanks

Andy

Thanks Andy, that is certainly a lot of interest on the information you have.

We will have a Committee meeting this coming weekend and we will discuss among other things, the membership structure. This will include both access to information such as the one you have and other things, so could I please ask you to kindly hold on the information you have until we have decided on this?

I will also add a topic for your "upgrade" given your experience as the Event Manager.

Many thanks

Hi Andy,

I gave a list of vehicles from both events to Darren G a several months ago...Think it was agreed that these lists should not be published as they had some drivers names, reg & VIN numbers on them, so details would be released 'on request' to vehicle owners. It's the same with the event handbooks, I have a couple of copies which I was going to put on Fleabay but they contain e mail and mobile phone numbers of many staff members (including us) which I'm sure people like Niki D and Nick would not want generally published.

Found several of pic's the other day of you in 2003, I'll get them on a disk sometime. Hope all's well. Did that VSAT system ever happen?   Cheers, Richard.

FFRR BV 55 YYN

Hi Mark,

It was a management vehicle from Thailand / Laos. Veh No.80. It is the only FFRR listed as a management vehicle for that leg which means it was most likely the Event Directors car, Niki Davies.   It had HF radio fitted which would also imply it was her car... Can't g'tee that though!

Cheers, RIchard.

Agree as well - the full spereadhseet should not go too far as neither of us really have the rights to do it.  On request is what I think is best as well.

I lost all my 2003 pics (had about 3,000 of them) when my old hard disk was stolen so would love them when you have amoment.  May see if Luce or Becks have the original discs as well.

VSAT on hold for the time being - all for good reason from this end.  Probabaly look into it at the end of this year ready for 2009 season.

I pity anyone who once drove - had a PM from a current owner that had your actual car from HQ in 2006 Challenge.  I said you were a considerate driver.  Follish man that I am.  That's like saying the Captain was not in control! Ha
