Across all the years of the event there were only 73 defenders built and that does mean there are that many knocking around either as some have been writen off some have been exported and some are just hiding on driveways and in garages waiting for the day when they will sell for a fortune.... which is now and only getting bigger numbers on the price tags going forward. ( Be interesting to see if they make a massive leap when the new defender comes out.)
Unfortunately the event was not run on a Camel trophy scale so there are only hundreds of these vehicles in total where as camel have thousands over its years of history.
