Hi All, can anyone tell me why my beloved vehicle costs so much more ( £700) or £400 for 6 months ) than my other old vehicles ?
Seems so unfair, especially to an old pensioner like me !!

Cars registered sometime in 2006 onwards were taxed at a higher rate. Your 2008 D3 would be classed in that bracket for the higher rate but a V8 or TDV6 D3 before 2006 would be at the cheaper rate (nearly half)
The 06 event cars being a 55 plate are in the cheaper bracket for example.

Due to the age of the D3 G4, do you think the DVLA would consider reducing to tax to the other levels ??

Sadly it's very unlikely as every vehicle in that tax class would be affected rather than a one-off.
