MotorExpo in Canary Wharf

Group: Forum Member Posts: 29, Visits: 111	In case any G4 members are in Canary Wharf in the next few days, there is a MotorExpo show (mini motorshow) going on.. very well attended by Land Rover and Land Rover Experience... usual truck with the metal ramps you can have a ride on... BUT they have a nice RR G4 on display on a very clever stand making it look like its hanging in the air with just the drivers front wheel on the ground... obviously a metal post stuck in it.. still looks quite good and its something to do of a lunch time ! The new Alfa 8C is even there making its UK debut ! Jason

b Group: Event Members Posts: 104, Visits: 648	Brian here - it is the same RRSport on a spike that your web link shows a photo of. It has had the engine and gearbox stripped out and looks best when the base plate is covered with bark or other comoflauge. It was first used (i think) at the International selections (outside the food/hospitiality tent) in the car park at Eastnor Castle. We all ended up posing next to it as it was so impressive, especially at night all lit cleverly! It was a test car i believe, that was going to be scrapped, when someone decided to do that to it. I think it might have been (i'm guessing now) the D3 team, who are the organising minds behind all of the G4 challenges and stunts.
