I'm brand new to the forum and you guys have a great resource here! I was directed to your website by Martin Sigel at LandRoverG4Cars.com. I was wondering if anyone on here knows of a point of contact for LHD US SPEC G4's or "Look-a-Like" PR Vehicles if no actual event vehicles were ever made to US SPECs or shipped Stateside. I am very interested in purchasing a LR3/D3 G4, but I will take a look at whatever is out there. Thanks in advance for all of your help!
Respectfully,
Matt
There were several 'Nevada Passage G4 Challenge' G4 lookalikes on Ebay last year and earlier this year. They were White as I remember LHD and petrol (gasoline). Do a Google search and you'll find one. They were expensive though at around $65K...
Have a look at this link: http://www.nevadapassage.com/

I seem to recall seeing the same car for sale on Ebay earlier this year, only in Marbella, Spain. A friend of mine who lives there remembers seeing it driving around there, still on it's UK registration. It belonged to an ex-pat living down there, guess the authorities caughtup with him and wanted it matriculated or shipped out. Matriculation would've cost him a fortune, hence the sale we think.
http://www.foleyoverland.com/ and click on vehicle sales, it's the top one. From memory, shipping is less than a £1000 and it can be done either by container or deck cargo.
Hope that helps

Thanks for all of your help over the past few months in my US SPEC G4 search! I came across this US SPEC 2003 G4 RR for sale in Birmingham, Alabama, USA the other day via Google. I spoke to the dealer and he claims it is one of only 2 still in existance that were brought to the US for the final stages of the `03 event. Anyone care to speculate on the truck being a true G4 vehicle? Please see the link below:

I also came across this discussion about the above listed G4 RR on another Land Rover forum. The members there claim that there were ~ 7 US SPEC 2003 G4 RRs that were brought in for the event. Please see the link below:

If it is a indeed a "Real" G4 RR...what do you think about the pricing & what would be a fair sale? Is there anyway to get the actual paperwork to see if it is in fact a true G4 truck?
Thanks again in advance for all of your help!
Decals are different, but looks genuine.

Hi Matt,
The RR for sale is a genuine G4 vehicle.
The RR was originally liveried as it is now, for the USA selections held early 2003 (cannot remember exact dates).
The photos from the D90 site were from 2008 and show no decals so the decals have been reapplied either as originals or copies (seems unlikely due to complex map contour lines).
This vehicle seems to have spent a lot of time with LRNA at various dealerships but only has 2 owners in its 6 years in the US.
Go to the Red Mountain site and select the VIN under the photo this takes you to CARFAX which shows the vehicles history. I wish we could access this sort of data here FOC.
There were 8 RR's for the 2003 event. All the vehicles including the FL and D2's were returned to the UK after the event in 2003 for refurbishment then they were returned to the USA for in market sale.
The photos show one of the RR's liveried for the selections. This is not the one for sale.
The RR's, D2's and FL's were all liveried like this.
Hope this helps.
Please let us know if you buy it then you could join the club.
