On standard tyres the FL2 can be chucked around on wet/dry tarmac in a very sporting manner. Good on slippery surfaces (wet grass), and in deep snow as long as there is more than 3mm of tread left. OK in mud up to a point, not in the same league as the MT in deeper mud or loose shale.
The MT are good on dry tarmac, and OK on greasy roads. They cannot be provoked to aquaplane, but they do make a noise. The MT have lost 3mpg off the fuel economy. The MT do not seem to self center at speed as well as the standard tyres, ie can be twitchy at autobahn speeds, but fine at 70mph.
As I do enjoy driving off road the MT suit my driving. They also give the car a more purposeful look.
Will not be going back to standard tyres when the weather gets warmer - that says it all for me.
