I am now the proud owner of BV55 ZBC - will soon have a new reg - will post new reg when I get it.
I will be joining the club when the option to join is available again.
In the meantime could anyone give me some more info on the history of this D3 - I spoke to Russ (a member and the previous owner) and got some info from him but would love some more info on when and where it was used.
As far as I can tell from the SAT Nav it was in Thailand, Laos and Viet Nam.
Thanks

Glad to have a new joiner to the club and that Russ's former car remains within the club!
Wwe are holding elections for Treasurer & Membership Officer and Vice-Chairman,with results expected this week, so soon you will be able to formally join the club.
Regarding the history of the car, Russ has received some info from Darren (see below), but you will get the details soon.
AS you might have a lot of questions, I would suggest you to use the search tool on the website, but feel free to ask anything in the forum.
Congratulations and welcome!

Am I right in thinking you already have driver details etc? If not please pm me. ;) ___________________________________________

Have found pic of your car. I gave it to Russ before but don't know if he passed it on to you. Nice to have the sister D3 around :D Yours is next to ZBL and I will email it to you in full so you can zoom in.
Cheers

It's great to know there are more 'orange fanatics' around :D and I'm very pleased to hear you found this forum useful.
Associate memberships being one of the points I'm personally raising in our first "New Committee" meeting, hopefully this will encourage you to join our elite club, then you will have access to the benefits of being able to buy club clothing, decals for the vehicles plus more things to be announced. ;)
I have envy for all those D110 G4's you have over there in the UK. I owned a D3 for about a year and found it "out of the box" capable, however the clearance was a big issue for me, even with the Rasta full underbody protection. All the regulatory "tape" in the US will not allow us "freelanders" to own such a British Icon as the Defenders! Happy Trailing!
Thanks for taking on the Associate membership issue - that will net you a few more members from this side of the world for sure.
