Engine Gone

Group: Past Forum Member Posts: 7, Visits: 78	The above engine has gone, bottom half of the engine has become porous after coolant leaking, not sure why it hadn't been noticed before by Land Rover or 4x4 dealer where I had some work done though !! £8.5k for a decent engone and a 3 year warranty, £3k for a reconditioned one and 1 year warranty..........OUCH Any sensible suggestions please ???

Its a long shot but didnt Equicar have some of these out of broken up G4 FFRR ? I know they had lots of other bits, and there cant be many people looking for an engine of this type so they shouldnt be to heavy on price. Craig

Yes Equicar did have G4 stuff, IIRC they had some US spec FFRR not sure about UK spec though. May be worth a punt though contact them here Cheers, Mark S.
