Black G4 ????

Group: G4 Member Posts: 79, Visits: 480	Hi All, As you know from recent posts I'm searching for a G4 defender. I've come across a 90 on auto trader but its in black and called a G4 "Edition" I always thought that G4's only came in orange, a member on the LRO forum believes a number were made in black but not for the competition. With regard the black 'G4' you will find there are LE's (Limited Editions', in what colours i'm not too sure however I do know there are LE's in yellow and Tangiers. I'm sure some of the chaps on here will be along to give more input on this mate. Happy hunting and hopefully see you at a show soon. Group: G4 Member Posts: 128, Visits: 811	LE's were available in Black, Silver, Tangiers (orange) and Borrego (yellow) and as Defender 90, Defender 110 and of course Discovery II. were available in 2003/4 only as opposed to an event vehicle these were Limited Editions brought out by Land Rover and not used in any event ------------------------------------------------- George Stoker North East England

Group: Forum Member Posts: 57, Visits: 396	Hello, yes indeed in a couple of European countries the G4 LE was available in Tangiers Orange, Black, Silver and Yellow. As far as I know this was mainly in UK, France, Spain and the Netherlands. some-one told me recently also in Germany. In Belgium however only Tangiers and Black were available. As already said here above, a LE batch was produced for the first G4 challenge between September 2003 till March 2004. But as far as I can trace it were only Defenders 90 and 110. I have no trace of Discoveries. the basic differences between the LE and the real G4 vehicles : - small G4 sticker where the standard TD5 sticker should be - semi roll cage ( which is not a real roll cage ) - A-bar - seat trim and if some-one can add additional info, please feel free to do so :) greetz Marnix ------------------------------------------------------------------- If you love life, don't waste time, because time is what life is made of
