Hi,
Finlay after three and half years of searching i found a new set of G4 Challenge equipment :w00t: . I'm waiting for rack (shipped from U.S) but i got my ladder. Today i put it on the car, and i got a small question about fixing.
The set that i was bought was new with two large bolts and manual. I put new bolts , replacing the two top OEM nuts. When all was mount i look that the top plate have small clearance from tire, the lower plate touch the tire - so the ladder have a little backlash. The picture below illustrate it :
Could you tell me how it looks in G4 Challenge edition ? They have some clearance between ladder plate and tire?
I use all mounting elements that i have (two bolts, two screws with washers).
Also many of G4 freelanders have nice looking black screws to secure the ladder - is they are a locking nuts with caps (like in alloys) or something else ?
Thank you for any advice or information :)
P.S
If somebody looks for G4 equipment (ladder, rack deflector) I have information that the last one new set (in boxes) from '03 challenge is available to buy in U.S. if interested - let me know :)
