Well, after a lot of going back and forth I finally took the plunge and bought my first Range Rover Sport, a G4 Challenge vehicle.
It is the 4.4 V8 and comes with all the G4 extras, including:
- Roof rack + spot lights
- Rear ladder
- Light guards
- Underbody protection
- Warn winch
- Rear e-diff
The car was used only in the first stage of the Thailand part of the G4 Challenge, and was then a support vehicle for the other two stages. It was then sold by Land Rover to a lady who has owned it for the pst 5 1/2 years.
I must admit, it's really growing on me, I love it. It is thirsty (19mpg on a run home, although it did have 4x original G4 alloy wheels in the boot!) but other than that it's perfect! Does have a few niggles I need to sort out, and some of the accessories have the odd battle scar but the car itself is in good nick.
Anyway, here's some pics - let me know what you think:
It
just
fits under the car port if the suspension is in 'Access' mode:
Love it! :D

Great looking truck, though I think they look very odd "naked" hopefully it won't be too long before it's in proper livery!
Best Regards

Very nice.
You'll soon get used to being looked at, and having to answer questions from people.....

Ant88 - thanks Ant, looks like you have a very similar Classic? Mine is sadly up for sale, but 4 cars and a motorbike in the household is a few too many!
DurtyDisco - do you mean the lack of stickers? The previous owner took
all
the G4 kit off, roof rack, snorkel, ladder, so it has been completely naked nearly all it's life! I am debating the G4 door stickers, not sure I will to be honest. The bonnet web address stickers are still present, however!
Pip66 - Phil, already have! Was filthy when I brought it so nipped to a hand car wash on my way home, the guys parked it right next to the road whilst they cleaned it for the free publicity! Got an awful lot of looks and rubber neckers going past!
