Group: Committee Members Posts: 695, Visits: 2.5K	If you can have the fault codes reset and check again in a few weeks to see whether it is the compressor, a compressor fault would affect all feeds to the bags, so it could be the exhaust valves if you are just having problems with the front and it seems pretty random. The valves open/close are triggered by the ECU which in turn takes it input from the height sensors. I would eliminate all the suspension components one by one before spending a lot of money. Although we have had 6 years of the D3 in the market, mechanics are still not experienced enough to make precise diagnosis - it is a very complex vehicle. Dealers keep changing components until a problem goes away, usually taking several visits and emptying of the wallet, you already knew this. Try posting on disco3.co.uk and seek some info to your decision making. By the way anyone who owns one of these vehicles and you are thinking of keeping it for a while, I would strongly recommend you get an IIDtool or MSV-2. Good luck. Group: G4 Club Member Posts: 33, Visits: 158	thanks. According to KLLR and the ECU read out there is a fault with the compressor and certainly the front does not appear to be as high as the back. KLLR mentioned it would be around £500-600 to fit a new compressor... so for now since it is "inconsistent" when the warning light comes on, I am saving up. The wheel arches do have dirt in them, but I suspect since the ECU states it is a compressor fault that the sensor etc are now ruled. Nevertheless, i will wash the arches this weekend and see if it means the warning light does not come one (and also see if all wheels are within 3mm when extended up to off road height on level ground. Thanks again. (Did notice a compressor on ebay for £275 but a bit nervous of that route!)

Group: Committee Members Posts: 695, Visits: 2.5K	Without having the faults from the suspension ECU read, a little difficult to guess, but before you spend some money try the following yourself: Check that there is no grit, grass, dirt, etc., interfering with the height sensors - pressure wash under the wheel arch well. Lift the suspension to off-road height and then let it down to standard and then to access height, do it a few times waiting 5 mins in between each cycle on the pressure up cycle. This is so that the compressor does not overheat. In standard height, on level ground, check the vertical distance between the top of the wheel rim and the apex of the wheel arch for each wheel. They should be all within 3mm of each other. If not a readjustment is required which could also point to other problems. It sometimes shows mentioning "suspension will be set to normal height" and then when the car is restarted all goes back to normal. Will take the car to the Land Rover Specialist in Kings Langley, but wondered if any had a similar experience?
