G4 challenges, any more planned?

Group: G4 Member Posts: 1, Visits: 3	Hi all, got my first Defender and its a G4 limited edition, Lucky or what? It is however a 2003 and needs a little tlc! Just wondered does anyone know why the actual G4 challenges stopped - as looking back these were great?

Group: G4 Member Posts: 168, Visits: 2.2K	They were stopped in 2008/9 because of the global downturn in the economy....In 2008 everything was in free fall and JLR decided it would be inappropriate to have an event which could potentially have reflected badly on them.... This was also at a similar time to the Ford/ Tata deals going through. Thus although the majority of the cars had been manufactured and prepared for the Mongolian event to be held in 2009 were then unused, mothballed and then finally released to the general public. A lot of the 2008 cars were denuded prior to sale. Farmer Chalk... 2008 G4 D3 BT08BRF Fleet number 45....
