Group: G4 Member Posts: 63, Visits: 448	Guys, the time has come to let G4 LRV go (if the price is right)! My biggest problem is I can't get her into most car parks because of her height (I know, pathetic excuse but 'her indoors' suffers when I have to park miles away from the shops) :-) That and I fancy a change... I might be getting a Toyota Landcruiser Model 78 'Troopie' so something more car, SUV, or MPV 'like' might be in order... So, to the beast! I bought BL57 TWY which is currently registered as G4 LRV (G4, Land Rover Vehicle) back in March 2009 when she was disposed of by Land Rover with around 2,200 miles on the clock. She was used in the selection trials in Belgium back in 2008 and then placed into storage. So, I am the second owner (LR was the first) and she currently has 105,000 on the clock. She is my daily drive and has mostly been a great drive... I say mostly, as it has had a few issues. 1. The Fuel High Pressure pump failed and was replaced at around 70,000. 2. The 'main bearing' issue reared it's head at around 80,000 and the engine was replaced FOC by Land Rover (Hurrah for Customer Services). 3. The tailgate release cable broke 6 months ago and was replaced. 4. The 6th & 7th rear seat belts were replaced (teething puppy issue). 5. Both front wishbones and bushings were replaced 18 months ago. Apart from that, nothing major only brake shoe, pads, and tyres... Comes with all the usual 2009 G4 Challenge decals (Red Cross badgeing removed as usual), although the bonnet and door decal Land Rover green badges are quite faded. Also comes with Two extra wheels with tyres (worn), Warn Winch cover, War Winch remote cable, First Aid kit (as issued), Two Water Jerry Cans and one Diesel Jerry Can (all unused), Internal cargo (dog!) guard which is currently not fitted but would be supplied, Kayak mounts for roof rack, PLUS a gebuine G4 Challenge selection Mountain Bike!!! Looking for £20,000 for the lot (not to include the G4 LRV registration, possibly available by separate negotiation)! Just the beast for the Winter (what the hell I will do without her)?
