Hi all the way from New Zealand.
Was wondering whats the best way to get wiring to the outside of the roof. I have ordered a light bar from ali express and is enroute as we speak. Will be setup with magnets so can be removed when not in use. Thoughts were to run a cable up through the snorkel.
Its a 2006 disco 3.
Cheers max

Hi Max,
You can run the wires up through the snorkel (RAI) but this will compromise the wading capabilities if it has been sealed to be a snorkel. Otherwise it will only be a raised air intake and you will need to treat water crossing as if the snorkel was not fitted.
You can also run the wires up behind the windscreen trim panels either side of the screen. The trims do not have much space behind them and are tricky to refit correctly.
You will also need to have plugs at the top end so that the light bar can be disconnected easily.

Thanks for that Adrian.
Yes plugs were planned to be fitted.
I guess i should check to see if snorkel is air tight. Am picking just a good sikaflex similar to the type used to seal windows would suffice.
On a different note.
Fitting reversing camera where one of the licence plate light is fitted. Is this a major.
Can you wire it straight to the gps touch screen and does it need to go to a workshop to be plugged into machine and activated?
First time landrover owner. But damn i love it. Only had it for a month going on a long drive next weekend with a bit of 4wd and rabbit shooting.
Thanks in advance max.
