Radio ON but NO sound

Group: G4 Club Member Posts: 33, Visits: 158	Hi - has anyone had a problem with No Sound in their 2005 D3. I was driving along on Tuesday and the radio suddenly had no sound. I have checked all other audio - Navigation, CD, Car Voice Activation, Phone Handsfree and NO Sound. So far I have done the following: 1. Check the fuses behind the glove box and swapped them for other similar fuses. 2. Unplugged the battery for 30 minutes 3. Held the Radio button down until I got the ‘codes’ and then selected the ‘Re-set’. All to no avail. It looks like I may now need to swap out the Amp with someone else’s to see if this is the cause of the problem. Where is the Amp located? From the few YouTube clips it looks as if it may be under the passenger seat?? Anyone with a similar problem that they resolved... really appreciate your guidance. There are other suggestions that it could be the wiring corroding. However, the radio suddenly stopped on a warm sunny day driving back from Reading.
