Just curious... what are the free hanging weights either side of my spare wheel? D3

Group: Past Forum Member Posts: 73, Visits: 181	Just fitted a tow jaw to my D3 and have located two rather large free hanging weights either side of the spare wheel... Short of taking a photo I'm not too sure how else to descirbe them. Each hangs either side of the chasis leg and is free to rotate or swing fore & aft. They can actually swing into the chasis / bodywork and clunk as they do so. They look as though they should be there but I can't quite work out why! I'm wondering what they are?
