fuel consumption

I do a lot of road driving to get to my work which involves driving on hill tracks, I'd like to know what sort of fuel consumption you can get with a g4, considering its an auto and all that kit added on. Is it a vehicle for everyday driving?

A D3 or RRS petrol will do about 16-20 mpg depending on your driving, not sure what the diesel D3's do, but a little more 110's do about 25-28 generally (don't think the kit makes it worse for a G4) and D2's are probably the worst, 14-16 Hope this helps :D Craig Steger-Lewis 2006 D3 Thailand Media Vehicle Stages 1 & 2 2004 D2 Landmark Auto (much missed already!)

I have a D2 and use it as a daily driver, not as economical as the wife's Clio but hey the grin factor makes up for that:D Seriously though though I get around 18 in town and over 20 on a run unless I'm generous with the loud pedal. Also noticed that the mpg is pretty much the same whether towing the caravan or not. With the difference in the cost of diesel it works out pretty much the same for me. YMMV. Mark S. Group: Forum Member Posts: 264, Visits: 2.9K	Like Mark, I've got a D2 (which is up for sale if you want... ;) )... On a recent run down to the Alps, I decided to analyze the consumption figures. So, for a family of 4, all the ski gear but no roofrack, this is what I got: * Steady 75mph - Just over 18mpg. * >80mph - Just over 14mpg. No matter how I drive, I can't seam to get more than 18mpg but likewise, it doesn't seam to matter how hard I drive it (95mph, towing, etc...) I can't seam to do worse than 14. As for LPG - Think very carefully before you do the conversion. Engines which have been run on petrol for a while don't like LPG. LPG is also quite hard on the ignition systems... The savings you make at the pump may well end up being spent on engine re-builds. All down to the MT tyres (get a spare set of road rims/tyres) roof rack, and RAI,, I recon at best, i have gained 2 mpg over the old Sport,, but lost the fun factor of the 4.4 V8 :D The D3 could well be for sale soon !!
