Think there was some confusion here.
Brian posted "I've got some photo's of Alan's (i think it was Alan, who was feeling ill?) Defender in Morocco too - so if someone can let me know his Forum name or his e-mail i will send them to him. (it was BN55WRP)"
The reg for Simon is BN55 WPR (D3), not WRP, but we thought it could be Andy's as he had some info that his car was the only Defender in Morroco. Given that Andy reg is BV55ZBX, it doesn't look to be the same car.
BN55 WRP is an ambulance Defender, not sure if from anyone in the club at the moment Augusto (The O.C.)Secretary - G4 Challenge Owners Club D3 2006 event BN55 WRG LRG4C11 Stages 3 & 4 Bolivia
I am pretty sure there was only 1 G4 Defender in Morocco on the Freelander2 launch (that i saw anyway) and it was BN55WRP - as in the photo below - so sorry Alan i've confirmed it wasn't yours - not what you wanted to hear probably! We used it purely for the Doctor on duty to follow the convoy around and be at specific points on the route in case of emergency. It didn't do a massive amount of off-road (there were ways round the routes sticking to tarmac) and the doctros seemed scared to off-road.
As for why Alan's Defender went to Morocco i just don't know? The evidence suggests that it did (dust ingress and the coin he found) but there might have been some other trips that weren't the Freelander2 launch? There was a dealer prize trip into the Atlas mountains, but that used the G4 vehicles that we had on the Freelander2 launch - so i doubt it was that!
If anyone else suspects there D3 or RRS from the 06 event went to Morocco i can have a little look at my shots from the Freelander2 launch. I know that i drove BN55WPL as a chase vehicle (and i've got some nice shots) but i think a German colleague cooked the engine on that across the beach! I also drove Disco 3 BN55WPP and Rangie BN55YYR, but there were more too... I'll have to compile a little list and post it on the forum soon...

Also I think the D3 you mentioned (BN55 WRP) was for sale on James French and the last 2 cars dont know if owned by any club members.
I think I found some info on BN55 ZBX - Andy's (Mole) car. It went indeed on loan to the UK Morroco event with Sam Adams. Andy you might want to ask Alan Edwards on more details on that.
