We've had the vehicle from a dealer in July 2005 with an extended warranty:cool: (another 4 months to go), and had it LPG converted about 2 years ago. We've had no engine problems till recently when the engine started stalling when the foot was taken off the accelerator. Usually the rev counter will rapidly home into the tickover speed of 750 rpm. However, the revs when taking your foot off the accelerator will now drop to 500rpm and the engine will either stall or recover. (Can be a bit dangerous when approaching give way signs and the engine cuts out along with all power to steering and brakes!!!!:w00t::cool:). After a couple of hours investigation the local LR dealership declared the problem to be related to the gas conversion. After 4 days of meticulously going over the gas conversion the LPG garage are unable to find any fault with the gas conversion and are suggesting we go back to the LR people to see what they say. They do confirm that the engine is cutting out.
Googling Landrover D3 stall, does bring up one or two other people with similar issues in vehicles not gas converted.
Anyone experienced anything similar or have any suggestions on how to approach the LR dealership.
Thanks
Andy
