Who do you chaps insure your G4s with? Had my renewal through - expensive, so and its time to start shopping around. Looking for good cover and service at reasonable cost (is that possible???)
Thanks for any suggestions / advice, Alan

I use Admiral Multi-car. Not sure of the actual renewal amount but it seems it's about £120 p/a more than my Vauxhall Insignia VXR. I was expecting a lot more than that so haven't shopped around yet.

+ 1 for Admiral multi car. My MY08 G4 D3 is £440 fully comp as opposed to £740 for my MY12 D4 and £270 (!) for Alis' MY12 FL2
Not bad for fully comp on all 3 cars with a value of about £100k. Hope this helps?
Best,
Steve

Farmer union £800 for business use on a 2008 FL2
Expensive, but by thier nature you are covered on green lanes etc.
Renewal was to be £1,000 including the "loyalty bonus". Told them I was leaving and they gave me a "new user" policy, seems loyalty doesn't mean much.

Farmers Union, They do tend to be a bit dearer than other companies but their cover is second to none and the excess is affordable when things go wrong, when my 110csw was stolen 2 years ago, they paid out in no time and I got top market value for the Landy, just make sure you keep all documentation for your vehicle, service history cost of any repairs and lots of photos to prove condition.

Just did mine with Priviledge... D3 BV55 it was around the £400 mark with Business Miles. Did not think about the Green Lane aspect... Thought Adrian Flux did quite good quotes, but must admit was a bit short for time in doing the renewal and needed things like legal cover and courtesy car just in case... And now seen Holland Trip in May may be tempted to get EU insurance

Guys,
Worth checking your policies carefully. Mine is due in a couple of weeks so have been hitting the compare sites. In all cases Admiral came out tops, BUT follow up questions revealed apparently if you have a snorkel fitted they say they can't insure you. I answered no to the usual is the vehicle modified question but qualified by saying it is as it rolled off the production line back in 2005 and listed the features. To which the guy said so it doesn't have a snorkel? The upshot was they cant or wont insure it because of that being fitted.
I'm not saying he is right I could have had a bone call center operator but the last thing you want is to think your insured and find out when you have a prang your not and most likely the insurance companies will blame you or deny you gave them the correct information.
I'm suffering with a lack of no claims (as I've been overseas for years and it doesnt count) but I had a good deal with Direct line last year and this year have gone with quote me happy. Its 800 quid but for a guy with technically only a years no claims I accept that.
Direct line sent me the renewal note and advised I hadn't been insured for theft for the last year as they'd not received my tracker certificate. My reply was "Really? thats odd whats this conformation letter I have here then????" Needless to say Direct line have been quickly dropped for incompetence.
All of the above just trying to highlight what a mine field insurance can be..... particularly for our chosen vehicles.......
Cheers for now
Ian
PS Tried NFU and the cover was superb but a tad more expensive than last year......
