Spare Wheel clamps for 2006 Roof Racks

Group: G4 Member Posts: 75, Visits: 712	Hi I am looking into getting the clamps that held the spare wheels to the 2006 Breed roof racks. These racks where fitted with 4 captive nuts with 4 holes through the deck board so a plate could be bolted to the rack which then had a fitting to bolt the spare wheel to. I am thinking of modify the design so the fitting in long enough to go through the centre cap which will make it easier to fit. I am also proposing the have a hole drilled through the fitting so a padlock can be used to secure the wheel in place. I have checked on a 2006 Defender and FFRR and they both have these on the rack and are the same. I am not aware if these were the same of any other vehicles. So...... 1) Is anyone else interested in having one made? 2) Can you one confirm if these were fitted to other vehicles?
